COURSE PREVIEW
Session #1
Similarity, Racism and Honor: The Foundation of this course is based on the fact that we have more similarities than differences. Because racism devalues our similarities, namely the humanity in another person,
we can be unified by restoring the value of those things we share.
In this session we will learn:
1 – We have more SIMILARITIES than differences with one another
2 – What is RACISM and how it dishonors our SIMILARITIES
3 – The uniting power of HONORING our SIMILARITIES
We are all actually creative variations of the same thing and
we can learn from our uniqueness; recognizing this means we can come together in unity.
Session #2
Grouping: We are all part of multiple groups, those ‘like us’ called in-groups
and those ‘not like us’ called out-groups.
In this session we will learn:
1 – The breakdown of how we place ourselves in groups
2 – The difference in how we treat those of each group
3 – How to convert people in our out-group to being part of our in-group
Session #5
Brother’s / Sister’s Keeper: Are empowered to confront dishonoring behavior that their friends or family might express.
Being a BROTHER’S/SISTER’S KEEPER makes us an active part of the SOLUTION.
In this session we will learn:
1 - What is a BROTHER’S/SISTER’S KEEPER?
2 - How to be a BROTHER’S/SISTER’S KEEPER.
3 – Who is a ‘KEEPER’
Session #6
Race Consultations: Because we see color, we are always having a race conversation in our head.
But before that conversation is spoken we need to have a race consultation.
In this session we will learn:
1 – Recognize the race conversations in our head
2 – Learn about who people really are
3 – Love those in front of us
